CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC It is so disheartening that an unknown virus should come out of the blues and put a stop to most planned activities for the year. The year 2020 was a year many looked forward to, and were full of hope and expectation. Now, many of those visions, goals and aspirations have been put on hold till God knows when. Although this virus is still being studied, there are some facts that tell us about its behaviour, mode of transmission and symptoms. Corona virus is any group of RNA viruses that causes a variety of diseases in humans and other animals. That is, this virus belongs to a family of other similar viruses that caused diseases in humans, examples of such was the 2002 SARS (Severe acute Respiratory Syndrome).  However, the Corona virus responsible for COVID-19 has been unknown to medicine which is why no cure is available as at now. The disease that started in Wuhan, China has spread to almost every nation on Earth which is almost a repeat episode

LITERARY TERMS By: Dinzei Maureen Literary terms are devices used to make writing better. These help the writer tell a story or make a point. Examples of Literary terms include: 1. Characterization : This refers to the way the author presents his characters in terms of qualities peculiar to them. This may be through narration, description, dialogues, speeches etc. We could have major and minor characters in a play.  2. Major character: A character that features prominently or throughout a play or prose e.g. Joseph in “Village Boy” Agbalowomeri and Justice Faderin are also major characters in “The Incorruptible Judge” 3. Minor character: A character that features less prominently in a work of fiction.   4. Theme: This refers to the central or main idea that is discussed in a work of fiction. EXPOSITORY ESSAY An expository essay is a type of essay that aims to instruct, inform, explain, criticize or analyse issues. In expository essay, we basically get educated or enlightened on such burning issues. Features of Expository Essay 1. The topic is boldly written in capital letters ( preferably). 2. The points/arguments should be logically presented. 3. Paragraphs should be developed with facts, examples and illustrations, comparison/contrasts and connectives. 4.
