Welcome Address by Dinzei Maureen Marris
It is with immense joy, gratitude, and great honour that I welcome you all to the 8th International Conference of Blozzom Everyday Institute. Your presence here reflects a shared commitment to learning, innovation, and excellence in a rapidly changing digital world.
At Blozzom Everyday Institute, our guiding motto has always been "Leaving people better than we met them." This is more than a slogan—it is our commitment to empowering individuals with practical knowledge, relevant skills, and transformational experiences that create lasting impact. Since our establishment, we have remained dedicated to equipping teachers, educational leaders, business owners, students, human resource professionals, and lifelong learners with the knowledge and digital competencies needed to succeed in the twenty-first century.
This year's conference comes at a defining moment in history. Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the way we teach, learn, communicate, recruit, conduct research, manage organisations, and solve complex problems. Yet, alongside these remarkable opportunities come significant responsibilities. As AI continues to evolve, so must our understanding of cybersecurity, ethics, privacy, responsible innovation, and digital citizenship. Our theme, "Leading with AI," challenges us not merely to adopt artificial intelligence but to lead its application with wisdom, integrity, creativity, and accountability. Throughout this conference, we shall examine both the tremendous opportunities and the potential risks associated with AI, while exploring practical applications of leading technologies such as TestGorilla, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Claude AI. These tools are transforming education, recruitment, research, productivity, communication, and organisational effectiveness, and our goal is to ensure that participants leave with practical skills they can immediately apply.
Today, we are especially privileged to host two distinguished scholars and thought leaders.
Our first guest speaker is Dr. Lucky Ogoo, President of the International Association of Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence, Professionals, (IACAIP) London, United Kingdom. Dr. Ogoo is an internationally recognized authority in Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence whose expertise continues to shape conversations on digital security, innovation, and responsible AI across the globe.
We are equally honoured to welcome Professor Akanbi, Professor of Mathematics Lagos State University, Ojo, whose wealth of academic knowledge and research experience will further enrich our discussions and broaden our understanding of the role of artificial intelligence in education, research, and society.
To our distinguished speakers, we sincerely appreciate your willingness to share your expertise with us. Your presence adds exceptional value to this conference and we are confident that your presentations will inspire meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives and practical solutions. To every participant, I encourage you to engage actively throughout this conference. Ask questions, exchange ideas, network with fellow professionals and embrace every learning opportunity. The knowledge you gain here has the potential not only to transform your own career and organisation but also to positively impact countless others within your sphere of influence.
As we officially commence this conference, let us remember that technology itself is neither our greatest strength nor our greatest challenge. Rather, it is the wisdom, ethics and purpose with which we apply technology that will determine the future we build together.
Once again, welcome to the 8th International Conference of Blozzom Everyday Institute. May this conference inspire innovation, strengthen collaboration, deepen our understanding of artificial intelligence and Cyber Security, and truly enable each of us to continue leaving people better than we met them.
Thank you, and I wish you all a productive, enlightening, and memorable conference.
