WELCOME ADDRESS FOR
The Blozzom Everyday Institute's Spelling Bee and Debate Competition 2026
Distinguished guests, respected school proprietors and administrators, esteemed teachers, honoured parents, our highly distinguished panel of judges, valued sponsors and partners, members of the media, invited guests, dedicated staff of Blozzom Everyday Institute, our brilliant contestants joining us both physically and virtually, ladies and gentlemen:
Good morning and a very warm welcome to each and every one of you.
Today is not just another day on the calendar. It is a celebration of excellence. It is a celebration of knowledge. It is a celebration of courage, confidence, innovation, and the limitless possibilities that emerge when education meets technology.
It is therefore my distinct honour and privilege to welcome you all to The Blozzom Everyday Institute's Spelling Bee and Debate Competition 2026, proudly hosted under the inspiring theme:
"Edutech and Everyday Learning."
This theme reminds us that learning should not be confined to classrooms or textbooks alone. In today's world, learning is continuous, flexible, technology-driven, and accessible to everyone who is willing to grow. Education is no longer simply about acquiring knowledge; it is about developing the skills, character, creativity, and digital competence needed to thrive in the twenty-first century.
Albert Einstein once said,
"The measure of intelligence is the ability to change."
Our ability to embrace educational technology has become one of the greatest indicators of our readiness for the future.
When the world was brought to a standstill during the COVID-19 pandemic, many educational institutions struggled to continue learning. However, Blozzom Everyday Institute saw that difficult season not merely as a challenge but as an opportunity to innovate, inspire, and serve humanity.
Since 2019, our institute has remained committed to transforming lives through technology-enhanced education. We have trained teachers to become more effective educators, empowered business owners to embrace digital tools, equipped human resource managers with modern workplace competencies, supported bankers, inspired parents, and prepared students to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
Our training programmes have integrated practical educational technology tools such as Kahoot, Quizizz (now Wayground), Wordwall, Google Meet, Kami, Google Classroom (Google LMS), Zoom, Whereby, Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn Live, blogs, websites, Interactive White Boards, and many other innovative digital platforms that continue to make teaching and learning engaging, collaborative, and impactful.
Today, we celebrate a remarkable milestone. Through our conferences, workshops, seminars, coaching programmes, and professional development initiatives, Blozzom Everyday Institute has impacted over 5,000 individuals across Nigeria and the international community.
Our reach extends beyond borders to participants from Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, South Africa, Ghana, the Republic of Benin, and Togo. Across Nigeria, we have trained and inspired participants from Lagos, Abuja (FCT), Delta, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Edo, Abia, Enugu, Imo, Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa, Gombe, Sokoto, and many other states.
This remarkable journey demonstrates one simple truth: technology has removed geographical barriers to quality education.
At Blozzom Everyday Institute, distance is never a barrier. Whether participants are seated in Lagos, London, Riyadh, Tehran, Johannesburg, Accra, or Cotonou, they are part of one learning community united by a passion for knowledge and excellence.
Our training portfolio reflects our commitment to lifelong learning. We have organised impactful workshops and conferences on topics including Work Ethics, Balancing Work, School and Family, Creative Teaching Methods, Innovations in Education, Online Teaching Skills, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Book Writing, TEFL, IGCSE, IELTS, Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications to Different Professions, AI-Powered Learning, AI and Language Learning, among many other practical subjects that prepare individuals for success in today's rapidly changing world.
These programmes are delivered both online and onsite because we believe learning should be available to everyone, everywhere.
Today's competition is another important chapter in that vision.
The Spelling Bee and Debate Competition is far more than a contest. It is an investment in the future of our children. It is a platform where confidence is built, ideas are refined, talents are discovered, leaders are nurtured, and excellence is celebrated.
Through this competition, we seek to strengthen the four essential language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while developing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, research skills, digital literacy, and responsible leadership.
To our dear contestants:
Today is your opportunity to let your voices be heard. Speak with confidence. Spell with precision. Debate with respect. Listen attentively. Think critically. Win with humility, and learn graciously from every experience.
Remember that success is not measured only by trophies or medals. Success is measured by growth, courage, resilience, discipline, and the willingness to keep learning.
To our teachers and parents, thank you for believing in these young learners, for encouraging them, and for investing your time and energy in helping them become tomorrow's leaders.
To our judges, thank you for accepting the responsibility of ensuring that this competition is conducted with fairness, professionalism, and integrity.
To our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and every member of the Blozzom Everyday Institute family, we sincerely appreciate your invaluable support. Your contributions continue to make our vision a reality.
