Consonant Sounds
Consonant sounds are speech sounds produced with a partial or total obstruction of air from the vocal tract.
There are 24 consonant sounds in English Language. Consonant sounds are divided into two major parts:
1. The voiced consonant sounds and
2. The voiceless consonant sounds.
For Example:
Consonants /s/ and /z/
/s/ is a voiceless alveolar fricative
/z/ is a voiced alveolar fricative
